Research Study
Dr Kyriacou, presents the research findings from the Imperial College Hospital, London.
- The study compares the Chronos UVC HLD system to Chlorine Dioxide wipe system
Summary
- Chronos UV-C HLD system achieved a total time saving for an ultrasound list of 15 patients, this amounts to 55 minutes 45 seconds extra time available, compared to the wipes system
- The time saving would enable the clinic to add approximately 4 extra patients to an examination list.
- Clinicians found UV-C HLD more satisfactory and easier to use compared to the wipes system
The study concluded that Chronos UV-C HLD system should be the cleaning/ disinfection approach of choice for TVUS
